What You'll Do As a Children\'s Residential Support Worker you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.
- Ensure our children receive the highest level of support
- Support senior staff with timely updates
- Promote individuality NOT a "one size fits all" approach
- Average of 8 sleep-ins per month
- Complete and update care plans regularly, updating with any additional requirements
- Be part of a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
- Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
- Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
- New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people\'s records accurately.
Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.

Kirkwood is a two bedroomed dormer bungalow.
Our house reflects that of a family \"home from home\" environment, where the young people feel safe, relaxed and well cared for in a non-institutionalised setting.
Kirkwood is a spacious home with good resources for young people and the garden area has been equipped with garden games and a trampoline for fun in the sun…and rain.
Kirkwood is geared up to care for 2 young people between the ages of 8 to 18, of either gender who require short-, medium- or long-term care.
The registered manager and the staff team all have exceptional skills and abilities to help support each young person placed at Kirkwood with their individual needs catered for.
