Job Overview
We expect the successful candidate to have the necessary standard of spoken English, as described under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, the Public Sector fluency duty that requires state funded schools to ensure candidates for their customer facing roles have the necessary standard of spoken English (or English or Welsh in Wales).
We are seeking a friendly, organised and professional School Receptionist to act as the first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors and to help maintain a safe and welcoming school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing reception and telephone enquiries.
- Supporting attendance and administrative tasks.
- Following safeguarding and site security procedures.
- Supporting pupil welfare, including administering basic first aid (training will be provided if required).
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A calm and caring manner.
- Confidence using IT systems.
- Understanding of safeguarding or willingness to undertake training.
- Current First Aid qualification or willingness to train.
- Current standard of spoken English meeting Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, or English or Welsh in Wales.
- Subject to an enhanced DBS check.
