We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Kingston Vets, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Kingston Veterinary Group is a long-established group of two practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across Yeovil and Sherborne, providing Small Animal and Farm animal care. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining and continually developing high clinical standards.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
General Responsibilities
- Assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations
- Responsibility for inpatient care
- Monitoring anaesthetics
- Assisting with patient admits and discharges
- Carrying out nurse consultations
Working Pattern
We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available, offering different working patterns to suit your circumstances. Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a Saturday morning on a 1:4 rota basis. There are no out-of-hours requirements. The role will be predominantly based at our Yeovil site, with flexibility to work at our Sherborne site when needed. Part-time: 26 hours per week across 3 days, working across both our Yeovil and Sherborne sites. Shifts will rotate between 8:30am and 6:30pm, with a 1:4 Saturday morning rota.
