We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Kingston Vets on a full-time basis. Kingston Veterinary Group is a long established group of 2 practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across two locations, offering Small Animal and Farm animal care, all conveniently situated close to each other. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance.
We have a wonderful, purpose built Mixed premises located in Sherborne, complete with Dental suite, Imaging suite, Separate Cat, Dog and Isolation facilities, Laboratory room, Farm procedure room and large Species split waiting room, along with a host of offices and separate Nurses office upstairs. We have a very strong and supportive team, consisting of Clinical Directors, Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Reception and administration teams who are all led and supported by our Director of Practice.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. The position is working Monday to Friday, 40 hours with a 1:4 Saturday morning inclusive. The role will be predominantly working at our Yeovil site, but with the flexibility to work at our Sherborne site when needed.
General responsibilities include:
- Assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations
- Responsibility for inpatient care
- Monitoring anaesthetics
- Assisting with patient admits and discharges
- Carrying out nurse consultations
