We are seeking a Performance Coach – Hockey to support the School’s hockey programme on a part-time, fixed-term basis from September 2026 to March 2027. Hockey is a key focus area, and this role will contribute to both participation and performance pathways, working with pupils across a range of ages and abilities.

The role involves delivering structured, engaging coaching sessions and supporting performance squads, including A teams, within a coordinated programme. You will assist with fixtures during the week and on Saturdays, contribute to player development pathways, and support Individual Development Plans where appropriate. The position also requires close collaboration with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach across the programme.

Applicants must hold a UKCC England Hockey Sessional Coach qualification (or equivalent) and have experience coaching young players. You should be organised and able to communicate effectively, maintaining a professional and positive approach at all times. Experience in performance or pathway hockey programmes, or within a school environment, would be advantageous but is not essential.

The role is term time only, with working hours as follows:

  • Michaelmas Term: 14 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons)
  • Lent Term: 20 hours per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons)
