Woodford Green Preparatory School is seeking a Caretaker to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Start Date: 1st September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Undertake general caretaking, maintenance and site security duties.
- Support the day-to-day operational needs of the school, including setting up facilities for school activities and events.
- Carry out routine health and safety checks and report any issues promptly.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and other service providers as required.
- Provide support to colleagues and assist with additional duties as directed by the Site Manager or Bursar.
About You
- Experience in a caretaking, maintenance, facilities or similar practical role is desirable.
- Resilient, flexible and reliable approach to work, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and positive manner.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards and taking pride in your work.
- A full UK driving licence is desirable.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
