We are looking to appoint an experienced and appropriately qualified registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership, professional expertise and compassionate oversight for the nursing care of students aged 4-18 years and staff members. This is a busy, varied and vital role within the whole College community.
The Medical Centre team is an integral part of the St Columba’s College pastoral provision, playing a key role in promoting the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of students aged 4-18. As part of a wider collaborative network including pastoral leaders, safeguarding staff, counsellors and First Aid trained colleagues, the team ensures that every young person is safe, supported and able to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, expertise and compassionate oversight for nursing care of students (4-18) and staff.
- Collaborate with pastoral leaders, safeguarding staff, counsellors and First Aid colleagues to promote the wellbeing of students.
- Serve as Lead School Nurse, working term time (25-35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday) and an additional 3 days during school holidays, plus 5 Inset days and Open Day, for a total of 180 working days.
- Support the extra‑curricular life of the College and align with its Catholic ethos.
