The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

This role encompasses lighting, sound, AV, stagecraft and health and safety within the Performing Arts Centre and beyond. Working closely with Drama, Music and other departments, the post holder will enable high-quality performances and smooth-running events.

Reports to: Director of Drama.

Contract: This is a full-time, permanent contract. The first three months will be a probationary period.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week on a flexible basis over 52 weeks (excluding 1-hour unpaid lunch break). Working hours will be flexible as required for events, including evenings and weekends. It is intended that excess hours during busy periods will be offset in quiet times and during school holidays when working hours will reduce (subject to the demands of holiday lettings and events).

Holiday: 30 days per annum, plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities: As Performing Arts Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the creative life of the School, working alongside staff and pupils to deliver high-quality productions, events and performances. This role is ideal for a technically skilled and enthusiastic individual with a passion for theatre and live performance. You will support rehearsals and performances across music, drama and dance, providing technical expertise in lighting, sound and stage management, while ensuring equipment is maintained and productions run smoothly and safely. Your contribution will enable pupils to perform with confidence and professionalism.

Qualifications: Eligible to undertake an enhanced DBS check. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity with children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore all applicants are required to declare all unspent convictions and conditional cautions, and any spent convictions or adult cautions that are not protected, as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020).
