Shop Assistant – Oliver’s Bakery Kingsley Park Terrace Northampton
Part-Time and Full-Time Positions Available – Up to 20 hours per week (Part-Time) | Permanent Contract
Early shifts from 7am required | Saturday working on a rota
Oliver’s Bakery is a busy, independent retail bakery with a strong local reputation – and we’re looking for friendly, reliable and motivated people to join our Rothwell team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in great customer service, and love the smell of freshly baked goods, this could be the role for you.
About the Role
As a Shop Assistant, you will play an important part in the day-to-day running of our bakery shop. You’ll support customers, keep the shop well-presented, assist with product preparation and ensure every visitor receives the warm, welcoming Oliver’s experience we’re known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving customers and delivering excellent customer service
- Operating the EPOS till system
- Stock rotation and product replenishment
- Visual merchandising and maintaining shop standards
- Pricing and labelling products
- Light baking-off of goods
- General cleaning duties
- End-of-day cashing up (as required)
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good attention to detail and confidence with basic retail admin
- Flexibility to work early mornings (from 6am) and Saturdays on a rota
