We are looking for a Senior Science Technician to join the growing Science department at our flagship new school in Aylesbury. The role is ideal for Early Career Teachers and offers the opportunity to contribute ideas and support the continued development of the curriculum, culture, and ethos of the school as it enters its fourth year of operation in 2025‑26. The Kingsbrook School opened in September 2022 with 180 Year 7 students and will grow to full capacity by 2027‑28. New team members are required to support our next cohort.
Responsibilities
- You will work under the guidance of the Head of Science and subject teachers to support teaching and learning across the school.
- Providing practical and technical support to Science technicians and ensuring all materials and equipment requested by teaching staff are prepared.
- Maintaining a working understanding of chemicals and solutions, and ensuring safe use within the department.
- Supporting the smooth running of the department and ensuring students have access to the materials and equipment they need to excel.
- Collaborating with students across the school in lessons and helping to develop both curriculum areas.
Qualifications & Checks
Suitable candidates will complete satisfactory checks including an enhanced DBS check, references, medical report, confirmation of qualifications and right‑to‑work documentation. Additional checks will be performed to confirm prohibition from teaching status.
