About The King’s Trust International
The King’s Trust International has been supporting young people worldwide since 2015. We were founded by HM The King to tackle the global crisis of youth unemployment.
Vision: That every young person should have the chance to succeed.
Mission: To empower young people to learn, earn and thrive.
Our programmes and interventions are now present in 20 countries within the Commonwealth and beyond, across Asia, Africa, Caribbean and the Americas, the Middle East and Europe. We are committed to amplifying the voices of young people on the global stage and putting their needs at the very heart of the design and delivery of our work. This complements global efforts to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those relating to quality education and decent work. We seek to work to the highest quality standards and to ensure the health and safety of all the young people we work with as well as the well-being of our colleagues and partners.
Role Overview
This role will be central to driving the growth of trusts and foundations fundraising at The King’s Trust International, leading an emerging portfolio of global institutional funders while shaping an ambitious strategy to expand our reach. As a key member of the fundraising team, the postholder will steward high-value partners, secure significant multi-year grants, and cultivate a strong future pipeline aligned to our new 10-year organisational strategy. Working closely with colleagues across Programmes, Finance and MarComms, the role will craft compelling proposals and ensure excellent grant management that reflects our commitment to quality, compliance and impact. Joining at a pivotal moment – following the launch of our long-term strategy and with a growing base of international supporters – the Trusts and Foundations Manager will help unlock the next phase of our global expansion. The role will play a vital part in deepening relationships with existing partners while proactively identifying and cultivating new opportunities across international philanthropic and institutional landscapes. The postholder will work collaboratively across the wider fundraising function, supporting cross-entity opportunities and sharing intelligence on global funding trends. With the chance to shape an emerging and high-potential income stream, this role offers a unique opportunity to refine core skills in trust and foundation fundraising, build strategic partnerships, and contribute meaningfully to our mission to help young people worldwide learn, earn and thrive.
About You
You will be a strategic and experienced fundraiser with a strong understanding of global trusts, foundations and institutional funders, and the ability to deliver income growth within a complex, international environment. Your experience of securing and managing grants, along with strong proposal writing, compliance and reporting skills, will help you manage and grow a varied portfolio of funders while building a robust pipeline of new prospects. You will be a persuasive and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex programmes, financial data and impact evidence into compelling cases for support. Highly organised and proactive, you will bring strong project management and financial skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence senior stakeholders internally and externally. You will thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment, combining attention to detail with strategic approach to support sustainable income generation for young people globally.
We are committed to equality and believe in building a diverse organisation that is representative of and responsive to the needs of our young people and stakeholders. The King’s Trust International is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of this commitment, we undertake basic disclosure checks in accordance with the Codes of Practice for all roles within the Trust, and for our roles working directly with young people, at an enhanced level. Having a criminal record will not automatically exclude applicants.
