The King's Trust is looking for a Youth Development Lead – Enterprise to empower young entrepreneurs aged 18–30. The role involves guiding a caseload of youngsters to turn business ideas into viable plans, support them through the Enterprise programme, and deliver the Exploring Enterprise course both online and in community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised coaching to a caseload of young people, helping them explore and test business ideas.
  • Assist with the creation of robust business plans, cash‑flow forecasts, personal survival budgets and sector‑specific insights.
  • Deliver feedback and encouragement to nurture idea development.
  • Support applicants with funding applications and other resources needed to launch their businesses.
  • Travel within the local area to deliver in‑centre and community‑based sessions.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to reach key business start targets for participants.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience or strong knowledge of small business development and entrepreneurship programmes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
  • Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage a caseload.
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and a passion for supporting diverse groups.
