Job description

Three-month temporary position

King's School, Canterbury is looking for an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide support to our Premises and Transport teams for a three-month period.

The role will involve maintaining accurate compliance, premises and vehicle records; updating trackers and databases; monitoring review and maintenance dates; following up outstanding documentation and actions; and responding to routine enquiries. You will work closely with the Premises Operations Manager and Transport Manager to help ensure that essential operational administration remains accurate and up to date.

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and attention to detail, be confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and be comfortable managing competing priorities and following up outstanding actions. Previous experience within premises, facilities, compliance or transport administration would be an advantage but is not essential.

The post will close once a suitable candidate has been appointed; therefore, early applications are encouraged.

The King's School is committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We adopt a fair, robust and consistent recruitment process which is in line with the statutory Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance. This includes online checks for shortlisted candidates.

All offers of employment are subject to an Enhanced DBS check, references, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check.
