We seek to appoint a well-qualified graduate teacher of Economics & Business from January to May 2026. This is a part time (0.4 FTE), fixed term appointment to cover a period of absence. The successful applicant will ideally have the ability to teach both Economics and Business to A level and will have the following attributes:

  • a real passion for their subject and excellent subject knowledge,
  • the ability to inspire and encourage students in their learning and treat them as individuals,
  • an enthusiastic willingness to work collaboratively and productively as part of a team,
  • a strong commitment to the co-curricular life of the school and an appreciation of its importance in the development of young people.

The Department is ambitious in providing an economics and business education of the very highest quality in order that students may realise their full potential. It is creative in learning and teaching methods and is prepared to take risks and embrace challenges. There is an emphasis on providing opportunities for independent learning and encouraging students to think for themselves. Students are introduced to a variety of problems and perspectives to inspire their love of learning.
