We are seeking an outstanding and inspirational Director of Hockey to lead and develop this thriving programme from September 2026. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic teacher or coach with experience of playing or coaching hockey to a high standard. They will join a highly collaborative and committed sports department, dedicated to developing confident, curious and resilient students, and to advancing an already exceptional co-curricular sports provision.

Hockey is a major strength of the school, with a strong record of success at county, regional and national level. The programme benefits from a well-established player pathway, excellent coaching, and high levels of participation across both boys' and girls' hockey.

  • Leading and delivering high-quality coaching sessions before school, at lunchtime and after school
  • Managing teams and accompanying pupils to fixtures, including a full Saturday programme
  • Overseeing the strategic development of hockey across all age groups
  • Contributing to the wider life of the department, including administration and meetings
  • Coaching an additional summer sport (cricket experience desirable)

The successful candidate will work closely with a large and experienced sports team, supported by specialist coaches and excellent facilities, including a state-of-the-art Sports Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to build on a highly successful programme, further increasing participation, performance and enjoyment of hockey across the school.
