- Position Overview
The King’s School, Canterbury is seeking a British Fencing registered Epee Coach (Level 2 or above) to join the coaching team full-time from September 2026.
The successful applicant will report to the Head of Fencing and will support the delivery and development of the Fencing Programme for all levels of fencing at both The King’s School and the Junior King’s School.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching beginners and experienced youth fencers in Epee across all levels.
- Planning and delivering training sessions aligned with programme objectives.
- Assisting with armoury work, equipment management, and safety procedures.
- Refereeing competitions and ensuring the application of rules and regulations.
- Providing support to pupils at internal and external competitions, including weekend outings and overnight stays.
- Participating in administrative duties related to the fencing programme.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered British Fencing Epee Coach Level 2 or above.
- Experience coaching within a school environment.
- Excellent communication skills, well organised and punctual.
- Experience with armoury work and refereeing is advantageous.
