For over a century, The King’s Fund has worked to improve people’s health and care. We tackle the thorniest questions facing our health and care system, and in turn society. We do this through our research, analysis and insight; leadership and organisational development with health and care leaders; convening and events; and partnering with others. With bold thinking for better health, we’re on a mission to inspire hope and confidence that we can create a world where everyone lives a healthy life.
About the role
The King’s Fund is seeking someone with a strategic mind, an eye for detail and the ability to influence internally to join us as our Strategic Communications Planner. This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly created role at the heart of one of the UK’s most influential think tanks and shape the future of health and care.
Working within the Communications and Engagement Directorate, you’ll lead the development of integrated strategic plans that ensure we drive influence and income while aligning with our mission and values. You’ll put audience insight, business intelligence, and strategic ambition at the centre of everything we do.
As a key advisor and planning lead, you’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to coordinate campaigns, guide decision-making, and manage a central view of all communications and engagement activity. From stakeholder engagement to impact reporting, you’ll be the go-to expert driving coherence, consistency, and strategic impact across our communications.
You\\\’ll also play a vital role in shaping how we use data, insights, and emerging technologies — including AI — to enhance communications performance and help us to continually improve how we engage our audiences.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in communications planning, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. If you\\\’re passionate about audience and impact, solutions-focused, and committed to improving health and care for all, we’d love to hear from you.
The Fund is committed to a hybrid working model that meets the organisation’s needs, while giving staff flexibility to choose between office and home working. Staff are expected to work a minimum of 40% from our central London office and are free to work more days from the office if they prefer.
