Overview

King's Academy Lord Wilson is seeking a passionate, driven and organised aspiring leader to join our middle leadership team as the Lead for Bespoke and Alternative Provision.

This role acts as the architect and champion of tailored educational pathways, bridging the gap for pupils who require bespoke or alternative provisions while ensuring that the quality of education for those not on-site full-time matches the high aspirations we hold for pupils in our mainstream classrooms.

This is an ideal stepping stone for a colleague looking to progress into senior leadership in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate for

Success: Work closely with the SENDCo, Personal Development Lead, Raising Standards Lead and Teaching and Learning Lead to design and monitor high-quality, personalised provisions.

  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure that alternative pathways are rigorous, robust and directly lead to meaningful qualifications and successful post-16 transitions.
  • Strategic Leadership: Attend Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings as required, contributing insight into whole-school strategy.
  • Governance: Prepare reports and present updates to the Governing Body on the progress and outcomes of pupils on bespoke pathways.
  • Flexible Delivery: Deliver one after-school "Night School" slot per week to support flexible or extended learning opportunities.
