About the Role

We are seeking a commercially minded and analytical Business and Procurement Analyst to support business decision making, procurement activities, supplier performance and cost optimisation within the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will analyse business and procurement data, identify opportunities for efficiency and savings, support sourcing and supplier management activities and provide clear insights to key stakeholders within the team.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.45am-5.00pm and Friday 8.45am-3.30pm: 37 Hours per Week | On site

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Analyse business performance, expenditure, operational data and KPI’s
  • Identify trends, risks and inefficiencies as well as opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with sales and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and ensure that supply plans are aligned with business needs.

Liaise with all regions to understand current sales performance and anticipated trends based on internal/external factors.

Translating this into a production forecast to be agreed with third party suppliers.

  • Prepare procurement documentation, evaluation reports, pricing comparisons and recommendations.
  • Identify procurement risks and recommend appropriate mitigation.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favourable contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.

Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.

  • Work with R&D team to source, products and materials to support our product range expansion
  • Analyse procurement spend to identify cost‑saving, consolidation and sourcing opportunities
  • Monitor supplier performance, pricing and contract compliance
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing stock holding costs while avoiding stockouts. Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to procurement and logistics
  • Work closely with other departments, including sales, production, finance, and customer service and quotes team, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of supply chain activities.
  • As the company expands and due to ongoing changes in market conditions and the business enviornment, it is a requirement of the position to undertake any other reasonable task related to the position you hold
  • What we’re looking for
  • A recent graduate with a relevant third level qualification in Business Administration, IT, Accounts or Finance
  • Demonstrable experience in business analysis, procurement analysis, commercial or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse large data sheets
  • Experience in an operations and supply chain role within a warehouse and production enviornment.
  • A commercial mindset with an understanding of cost, risk and supplier performance.
  • Working knowledge of international imports, transportation, tariffs and duties would be desirable.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles, best practices, and performance metrics would be desirable.
