The Keyholding Company, the UK's number one keyholding and alarm response specialist, is looking for Daytime Mobile Security Officers to join our growing operations team across Basildon and Canning Town.   • Position: Mobile Security Officer (Car) - Days
  • Location: Basildon & Canning Town
  • Shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off - Days only (07:00-19:00)
  • Salary: £13.78 per hour

What you'll be doing

As a Daytime Mobile Security Officer, you'll be at the heart of our frontline operations! Responding to alarms, carrying out patrols, and ensuring our clients' sites remain safe, secure, and compliant. No two days are the same. You'll work across multiple locations, build strong relationships with clients, and play a key role in delivering a high-quality, technology-enabled security service. You'll spend most of your time on the road, starting each shift from your local base.

What your day will look like

  • Responding quickly and effectively to alarm activations and emergency call-outs
  • Carrying out proactive mobile patrols across a range of client sites to maintain security and visibility
  • Managing lock/unlock services, vacant property inspections and access requests with precision
  • Taking full ownership of client keys and access systems, ensuring strict control and accountability
  • Supporting site surveys and playing a part in setting up new client locations
  • Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks to ensure you're always operationally ready
  • Producing clear, accurate incident reports and maintaining detailed operational records
  • Representing TKC professionally at all times during client interactions and site visits
  • Working closely with your team to create a positive, supportive and high-performing environment
  • Supporting the upkeep of fleet, equipment and overall operational readiness
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve client queries and improve service delivery
  • Contributing to continuous improvements, including the rollout of new tools and technology

What we're looking for

  • Valid SIA Frontline Licence
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good IT literacy (mobile systems / Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Professional, reliable and proactive approach
  • Previous experience in mobile security, keyholding or alarm response
  • Experience using incident reporting or workforce systems
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of the rota
