Meet the Team

Our Club 21 site is a lively day service provision that supports 8 individuals (male & female). The service is based on three floors and has individual areas as well as communal areas to meet the needs of the people they support. The individuals participate in a wide range of activities within the community including horse riding, swimming, visiting local zoos and museums, and attending courses at the local adult education centre. They also like a spot of baking back at Club 21. The specialist staff team in situ is looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to their award‑winning team and has suggested we let you know they love a bit of karaoke! If you are a positive, forward‑thinking, and compassionate Specialist Support Worker (hopefully you love a sing‑along as much as they do) then we would love to hear from you.

Key Requirements

  • Manual UK driving licence essential, confident driving mobility vehicles/people carriers
  • Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Ability to confidently and consistently support individuals who may experience emotional distress, heightened anxiety, or difficulty regulating their behaviour
  • Clear, calm, and adaptable communication style to meet the needs of individuals with complex communication profiles

Working Pattern

This role is located at our day service in Brompton High street Gillingham, the service runs from Monday – Friday. The vacancy is for 4 days a week from 9am – 4.30pm and will be fixed days.

Supporting over 80 people in Medway and across Kent, The Kent Autistic Trust provides a wide range of services designed to meet diverse needs of the people we support with autism, mental health issues, learning disabilities and related difficulties. We provide residential homes, supported living accommodation, day resource services, respite, and outreach services.
