A global Insurer with strong ties to the London Insurance Market is looking for an experienced PMO Lead to lead a small team. Ideally, this individual will have relative exposure with Value Management/Costs & Benefits as well as traditional PMO experience.

The Role

  • Lead and develop a small PMO team, providing line management, coaching, and oversight of portfolio governance, delivery reporting, and value management activities.
  • Act as PMO Lead for a major strategic transformation programme, ensuring effective governance, planning, reporting, risk management, and executive visibility.
  • Own and enhance PMO processes, controls, and governance frameworks to support successful delivery across the transformation portfolio.
  • Drive portfolio-level value management, ensuring business cases are robust, benefits are clearly defined, and investment decisions are supported by accurate financial analysis.
  • Monitor and track programme costs, benefits, and value realisation throughout delivery and post-implementation, ensuring alignment to approved business cases and strategic objectives.
  • Produce high-quality reporting and management information for senior stakeholders, providing clear insight into programme health, delivery progress, financial performance, and key risks.
  • Facilitate governance forums, steering committees, and transformation boards, ensuring timely decision-making and effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain oversight of programme RAID logs, proactively identifying, managing, and escalating risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery challenges.
  • Partner with Transformation, Technology, Data, Underwriting, Operations, and Finance teams within a matrix environment to drive successful programme outcomes.
  • Support the continuous improvement of portfolio management and value tracking capabilities, helping to embed best practices across a growing transformation function.
