We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Primary trained teacher with a core subject background (preferably in Maths or Science) to join our Secondary School team at Rainham School for Girls, supporting students across the school with SEND and additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary specialist looking to broaden their experience within a secondary setting while making a real difference to young people’s education.
About the Role
- Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and additional needs in a range of subject areas
- Provide support in-class to help students access learning
- Plan and adapt resources to meet individual needs
- Teach Key Stage 3 lessons
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies to ensure every student is supported effectively.
About You
- Is a qualified Primary teacher (QTS essential)
- Has a strong understanding of inclusive practice and supporting diverse learners
- Is patient, nurturing and committed to helping students achieve their best
- Is flexible and confident working in a secondary school environment
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Brings enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to supporting young people.
