Are you looking for the next step in your career? We are searching for an Assistant General Manager who is an experienced operational and commercial leader supporting the General Manager and acting as the clear number two within the Inn. The Assistant General Manager provides overall leadership, performance accountability and commercial control, ensuring the business operates consistently, efficiently and delivers exceptional guest experiences at all times. The role carries direct accountability for labour planning, financial performance, scorecard delivery, reputation management and property standards, ensuring the business is always performing at its best. In the absence of the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager assumes full operational and commercial responsibility for the Inn.
Your day to day:
- Working alongside the GM to deliver fantastic hospitality and deputising in their absence
- Overseeing the control of rotas
- Managing payroll budgets in line with agreed targets
- Taking responsibility for all of the business operations when you are on shift
- Managing and developing the skills of your team
- Being the point of call for any management issues
- When needed, being hands on with food service, room reservations and looking after guests
