Full-time teaching position in the Traditional Day program in the Department of Bible and Theology. This appointment includes the roles of Department Head and Director of the Honors Program. Salary: $65,000 per year (plus medical insurance, $15,000 term life policy, 401(k) retirement program). Moving expenses reimbursed up to $3,500. Reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Location: Trinity College of Florida, Trinity, Florida. Remote: No.
Job Responsibilities
- Teaches in the Bible and Theology Department with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester (maximum 18). Courses may be in-seat, online, or hybrid.
- Serves on all appropriate committees per faculty handbook requirements.
- Acts as Department Head and advisor for all students in the program.
- Receives academic freedom in line with the faculty handbook and the school’s statement of faith.
- Actively develops discipleship relationships and leads a weekly small group with students.
- Assists the Vice President in developing a Task Force to add additional undergraduate majors and a Master’s program.
- Oversees the Honors Program: recruiting students, approving graduates, leading summer trips, and maintaining the budget.
Qualifications
- Terminal research doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Three letters of reference, statement of faith and personal testimony, and all applicable transcripts submitted to the Academic Vice President.
- Completed faculty application form.
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level with potential for excellence.
- Record of promising scholarly achievement.
- Experience with budgeting, planning, and policy review.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills, public speaking, and representing the college positively to diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates personal conduct and lifestyle in keeping with biblical standards.
- Affirms the Trinity College statement of faith (Premillennial and imminent return of Christ in eschatology).
- Supports Trinity College policies and procedures.
Contract period July 1 – June 30 each year; partial contract available for candidates beginning after January 2026. Minorities encouraged to apply.
