This role is a part time role to work over 3 days (up to 21 hours), that will form part of a job share. Duties will be shared with the other part time Marketing and Events Supervisor.
About the role
Our vision is that people of all ages can come together and enjoy a safe, social and inclusive environment. We are now looking for an experienced Supervisor to support the Folk Hall Managers in achieving this vision through ensuring excellent customer service and the development of current and new relationships with stakeholders.
The role involves the operational day to day supervision of the Folk Hall Customer Service team, with a focus on Marketing and Events, as well as overseeing the management of the shop, reception and bookings. Our thriving events programme includes everything from local community groups and regular activities, through to corporate bookings and Weddings – no two days will be the same!
This post will include regular evening and weekend work on a rotational basis, providing support for the Post Office and taking operational responsibility for the Folk Hall building, events and activities in the absence of the Folk Hall Managers.
About you
This is an exciting and challenging post for someone who has experience of working with people and in communities. You should be flexible, creative and motivational, with good communication skills and a collaborative attitude towards work.
You will have a passion for marketing, particularly with digital channels. You will have a good understanding of the importance of marketing and the various tools that can be utilised.
A flexible and customer focused approach is essential as well as being able to manage a range of competing workloads and being able to see a job through despite competing priorities. You will have a proven track record of supervising and motivating a team and demonstrable experience of cash handling.
You will also be the first point of escalation for staff and user enquiries, reporting any urgent matters to the Folk Hall Manager on call.
