Permanent, Part Time (14 hours per week)

Hartfields is a vibrant and active retirement village for people over 55 who want to live in their own home. Hartfields has 242 properties, is home to around 300 residents and has a wide range of communal facilities.

About the role

The bar team and service is one of the key facilities in the communal areas providing a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The bar service complements other hospitality functions including a coffee shop which is available to residents, staff and the general public.

The role of the team is to provide a welcoming bar service with a range of activities for all. The team carry out bar duties which includes serving customers at the bar in line with licensing regulations, helping with organised activities and events and ensuring the bar is correctly stocked and is a clean, safe environment for all who use it.

About you

You will deliver an excellent, customer-focused bar service and be responsible for the operation of the licensed bar when on shift. You will have a good level of numeracy and experience of cash handling and reconciliation and an understanding of health and safety. Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, adapting approaches if needed, you will be able to work as a team and show flexibility of working pattern to support the needs of the team.
