About the role
As a motivated and fully engaged member of the wider Care Services team, the Food Service Assistant is responsible for the efficient and timely service of food and beverages to residents in The Oaks Care Home, supporting the delivery of an excellent food and customer focussed service whilst adhering to the highest food safety standards.
Youll support the preparation of The Oaks dining room and the service of quality and nutritious meals for our residents. Youll get to know the residents preferences and ensure that they are always available and keep the pantries stocked. Youll liaise with both the catering and care management teams to ensure good communication.
Serving in The Oaks and other social spaces, youll take care to always be helpful and friendly, help clean the tables after service and adopt a clean as you go work ethic, and fully stock the small kitchens, take fridge temperatures, clean kitchen fridges and keep kitchens clean and tidy.
About you
Wed like our Food Service Assistant to have relevant customer service experience in a care home environment and have experience of following Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures. Adhering to the highest standards of due diligence, youll have working knowledge of Food Safety regulations.
Youll be able to work positively with residents and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and have demonstratable interpersonal and oral communication skills.
