Are you an experienced foodservice pro who’s ready to grab a growing channel and make it your own? Do you love building something from the ground up – and want to do it with a brand takes quality very seriously?

We’re The Jolly Hog – a family-run food business with a passion for doing things the right way. We’re already on shelves in the UK’s biggest supermarkets, running a restaurant (Pigsty), and cooking up a storm at events like Glastonbury, Goodwood, and Winter Wonderland.

Now we’re building our Foodservice & Out of Home channel into a major part of our business – and we’re looking for someone driven to help lead that growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing B Corp brand that’s scaling fast, staying true to its values, and still having lots of fun along the way.

🚀 The Role: Foodservice & OOH Channel Controller

This is a hands-on commercial role where you’ll take ownership of our growing Foodservice and Out of Home (OOH) channel.

You’ll lead the development of our customer base across pubs, restaurants, wholesalers, contract caterers, food-to-go, and events – identifying the right partners, building strong relationships, and making sure our products land in the right places, with the right support.

With listings already secured in Brakes, Bidfood, and other key routes to market, we’ve laid the foundations — now we’re looking for someone to build on that momentum and drive the next phase of growth.

🐷 About The Jolly Hog

Once upon a time, there were three brothers… A rugby player, a ship-broker and a cabinet-maker. After a heated debate about the perfect pork sausage, we decided to settle it by making our own.

Fast forward to 2025, and The Jolly Hog is now a proudly independent, family-run food brand producing higher-welfare, award-winning pork products, stocked in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose, Ocado, Morrisons, Co-op, and Gousto. We run a restaurant (Pigsty), operate mobile catering at Glastonbury, Goodwood and Winter Wonderland, and – crucially – we’re growing fast in foodservice and out of home.

In 2022, we became B Corp certified – putting people and planet at the heart of our decisions. Our team are all involved in making us a better business, and we’re always up for doing things differently.

Now, we’re looking for someone to take ownership of our Foodservice and Out of Home (OOH) channel — a strategic, but hands on role in a fast-moving business with big plans.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target and win new business opportunities across contract catering, QSR, casual dining, wholesale, travel, events, pubs and more
  • Manage and grow key national accounts – becoming the senior point of contact for negotiations, JBPs, and long-term partnerships
  • Develop tailored proposals and pitch decks that bring The Jolly Hog story and product range to life for foodservice operators
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain to ensure commercial success and great customer experiences
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to build pipeline and relationships
  • Stay close to market trends and competitor activity to keep us ahead of the game
  • Drive forecasting, performance tracking and budget ownership for the channel
  • Help shape NPD and channel-specific formats based on customer needs
  • Act as the voice of foodservice & OOH within the business – championing the channel at a senior level
  • Once you\’ve hit the ground running, we’d like you to be involved in helping us grow the team – including playing a role in hiring the next person into the Foodservice channel

👤 What We\’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in foodservice or OOH sales – ideally in an FMCG, challenger or premium food brand. This is a must for the role due to the nuanced world of Foodservice & OOH
  • Excellent at spotting opportunities and securing new business – from pubs and venues to contract catering and beyond
  • A top notch salesperson. You’ll be getting out and pitching to various businesses so you must have a great flair for sales
  • Confident in negotiating, presenting and owning the sales process from pitch to delivery
  • Strong commercial experience managing national foodservice and/or wholesale accounts
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable building something, not just maintaining it
  • A passion for great food and making a difference
  • A serious appetite for growth and doing things differently
  • Full UK driving licence – this role will involve frequent travel to customer meetings

🌟 Life at The Jolly Hog

  • We’re a small, ambitious team who care about doing things properly
  • We’re not corporate – no politics, just passionate people
  • You’ll be on the road regularly, visiting current and prospective customers – but when you’re not out and about, we’d love to have you to have a presence at our Bristol HQ. We’re a close-knit team and believe that spending time together in person helps us collaborate better, move faster, and have a lot more fun along the way
  • We work hard, have a lot of laughs, and never stand still
  • You’ll be supported but given loads of autonomy – no micromanaging
  • You’ll be joining a business that’s truly going places and want you to grow with it
  • And yes, there are lots of sausages!

🐷 Why Join The Jolly Hog?

We were named one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work in 2024, and we’re very proud of the culture we’ve built – one where people are supported, challenged, and genuinely enjoy coming to work.
