We have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will be an enthusiastic practitioner who has a passion to nurture happy children and a strong drive to promote excellent childcare. You should hold a full and relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 in childcare or equivalent, have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and have experience working with children in a childcare setting. If you currently are working towards your qualification, please don't let this hold you back. We are happy to provide training and support.
Joint Colleges Nursery is a small independent nursery situated in a quiet, tree-lined residential area in the heart of Cambridge. We are within close walking distance from Cambridge City Centre and the train station. Our staff describe JCN as a wonderful and rewarding place of work. JCN is registered for 57 children aged 0 - 5, most of whom attend full time. Our children and staff enjoy a stable environment throughout the day, and develop quality relationships with one another. Our parents describe JCN as a home from their home.
Joint Colleges Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful applicants will need to provide "right to work in the UK" documentation, undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide two satisfactory references prior to commencing employment. Hours of work will be between 8.30am to 5.30pm, 7.5 hours a day Mondays to Fridays and can be flexible to suit circumstances. If possible, we would prefer that you are available all year.
