Our dedicated team is looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who has a passion to nurture happy children and a strong drive to promote excellent childcare. Joint Colleges Nursery is a small independent nursery situated in a quiet, tree‑lined residential area in the heart of Cambridge. We are within close walking distance from Cambridge City Centre and the train station. Our staff describe JCN as a wonderful and rewarding place of work.
Working hours are between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, 7.5 hours a day on a rota basis, Mondays to Fridays. JCN is registered for 57 children aged 0‑5, most of whom attend full time. Our children and staff enjoy a stable environment throughout the day, and develop quality relationships with one another. Our parents describe JCN as a home from their home. We work with the key‑person system, using online learning journals. As a key‑person, you will be assigned a maximum of 6 children. Paperwork time for children's development is allocated within the normal working hours of 37.5 a week.

You should hold a full and relevant NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent, have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and have experience working with children in a childcare setting. If you currently are working towards your qualification, please don't let this hold you back. We are happy to provide training and support.
