The John Roan School is a large mixed secondary school which joined the United Learning group of schools in September 2019. Ofsted graded us as a 'Good' school in October 2023. As Support Assistant - Centre for Autism, the post-holder will be an integral part of the Centre for Autism. The Support Assistant will work alongside the Head of the Centre for Autism and the wider inclusion team to undertake activities with individuals or groups of children to ensure their safety and facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development.
We are enthusiastic about the role that the Support Assistant will have in supporting students with behavioural issues. You must be firm, caring, non-judgemental and understanding. Demonstrate a flexible and creative approach in your work and maintain positive, supportive relationships with individuals and groups of students.
