Vehicle Progressor

Location: Edinburgh

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Vehicle Progressor to join our John Clark team. This role is key to ensuring all incoming vehicle stock is fully prepared and presented to the highest standard ready for display and sale on the forecourt. The role will also include the preparation and management of stock photography for our website.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end‑to‑end preparation process for all used vehicle stock arrivals
  • Coordinate all stages of vehicle readiness to meet the KPI, including:
    • Bodyshop and cosmetic repairs
    • Mechanical preparation through the workshop
    • Valeting and detailing
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments (workshop, bodyshop, valeting team) to ensure timely progress
  • Monitor vehicle status daily and resolve delays proactively
  • Carry out final quality control checks to ensure vehicles meet company standards before display
  • Ensure vehicles are presented to a high standard on the forecourt
  • Work closely with the Sales department, to ensure vehicles are prioritised correctly in relation to delivery and sales timelines

Additional Responsibilities

  • Take high‑quality photographs of vehicles for online and marketing use to brand and dealership standards
  • Upload or support the upload of vehicle images to sales platforms in a timely manner to ensure vehicles are ready for advertising as quickly as possible
  • Maintain consistency and quality in vehicle presentation across all listings

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple vehicles and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to build relationships with appropriate team members and departments both on site and across the Group
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Previous experience in automotive, logistics, or stock control is advantageous
  • Photography experience is desirable but not essential (training will be provided)
  • Full UK driving licence required
