Do you have a passion for a career in accounts? This could be the opportunity for you! Pentland Land Rover Jaguar Stirling, part of the John Clark Motor Group, have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their very busy Accounts team.
Main purpose of Assistant Accountant role: To provide accurate and timely information to assist in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Reconciling and maintaining the balance sheet
- Bank reconciliation
- Daily support for the on-site management team
- Provide cover for the Accounts Assistant as and when required
The successful Assistant Accountant will have numerate and literate skills at the clerical level and an understanding of accounting information such as invoices, credit notes, payment receipts and payment advice notes. They should understand basic double entry and the principles of ledger reconciliation work, knowledge and understanding of VAT and associated documentation, and be capable of demonstrating a professional and courteous relationship with managers, staff, suppliers and customers alike.
