Job Overview
The JCMG Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and have the opportunity to earn while they learn and to put theory into practice within an automotive training environment. As well as attending the Bosch training centre for weekly block release of training, regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within your place of work which aims to ensure you have the required skills to successfully complete the JCMG apprenticeship.
What Might a Typical Day look like for a Vehicle Spray Painter?
You will be based within one of our modern state of the art Accident Repair Centres involved in learning all aspects of Spray Painting, Minor and Major repairs, Surface preparation and Priming, Colour Matching, Buffing and Polishing.
What will I learn?
You will be working with our highly experienced Spray Painting Technicians where you will have the opportunity to learn and develop essential skills allowing you to be hands on from an early stage in your career.

What qualifications or qualities are required?
You must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or a Craft subject. Standard Grades 1-4 and Intermediates will also be accepted. It is essential that you are literate, numerate, reliable and keen to learn. The Vehicle Spray Painter Apprenticeship will receive an amazing response so we're looking for you to demonstrate why you stand out from the crowd, we want to identify those people that are ambitious and demonstrate a willingness to learn, who are excited by the prospect of working with our fantastic brands and really engage from the very start. Additional Information
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Wage for apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
