Are you a strategic leader in the automotive repair industry with a track record of driving operational excellence across multiple sites? We are looking for a Group Bodyshop Manager to take full ownership of our bodyshop and SMART repair network across Scotland.
This isn’t just about managing repairs; it’s about setting the standard for quality, efficiency, and commercial growth. Covering Inverness/Aberdeen/Dundee/Perth/Edinburgh & Stirling, you will lead our teams to deliver industry-leading results while shaping the strategic direction of our SMART repair offering.
The Role: Impact & Influence
Reporting directly to the Divisional Aftersales Manager, you will be the driving force behind our bodyshop operations. You’ll be responsible for:
- Driving the performance of all sites in all areas to consistently meet and exceed targets and budgetary requirements.
- Overseeing multiple sites, ensuring consistent, high-quality operating standards and repair cycle times.
- Developing and expanding our mobile and static SMART repair capabilities to maximize revenue.
- Managing budgets, KPIs, and labour efficiency while optimizing paint and material margins.
- Leading and mentoring a diverse team of Managers, Technicians, and Estimators, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Leading high-impact projects, from facility upgrades and new technology implementation to building relationships with major insurers and manufacturers.
Who You Are
You are a seasoned professional who understands that a successful bodyshop is a blend of technical precision and commercial savvy. What you bring to the table:
- Extensive experience in a Senior or Multi-site Bodyshop leadership role.
- Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of insurance protocols, manufacturer repair methods, and SMART repair operations.
- Commercial Acumen: You know your way around a P&L and understand how to drive profitability without compromising on quality.
- Mobility: Based in (or willing to travel between) Perth, Dundee, Inverness, or Aberdeen.
- Leadership: While a technical background (Paint/Panel/MET) is a plus, your ability to lead people and manage change is what will set you apart.
