We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Newmarket Racecourses Operations team to ensure the smooth running of our operations department, with responsibility for office administration, compliance schedules, accreditations, race-day passes, and health & safety—supporting a safe and well-run environment for all.

The Operations Executive will:

  • Be the engine of Operations & Facilities admin – owning compliance (SAG, PPMs, H&S), accreditations, licences, contracts, POs and contractor paperwork.
  • Keep the Operations team firing on all cylinders – managing diaries, correspondence, meetings, papers, presentations and minutes.
  • Run tight, audit-ready records – keeping digital and physical filing accurate, secure and up to date.
  • Take charge of financial admin via Proactis – raising POs, processing invoices, tracking budgets and working closely with Finance.
  • Champion Health, Safety & Security – maintaining training records, KPIs ensuring compliance is always on point.
  • Own the accreditation system and race-day operations – including the Free Pass Office and third-party accreditations.
  • Drive facilities coordination – managing the helpdesk and maintenance schedule to keep sites running smoothly.
  • Be on the ground on race days – supporting contractors, signage & branding, traffic plans and regional operations (including evenings and weekends).

  • Highly organised with a sharp eye for detail – you plan and keep things running smoothly.
  • An experienced administrator who thrives in fast-paced, operational environments.
  • Comfortable managing budgets, POs and invoices with accuracy and accountability.
  • Tech-savvy and confident using office systems and tools to stay on top of workloads.
  • A true team player who rolls up their sleeves and supports others.
  • Calm under pressure – you stay focused when things get busy (especially on event days).
  • Experienced working across office, racecourse and live event environments.
