We have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to ensure the kitchen, wash up and back of house food and beverage areas are cleaned and tidied to the highest standards and in line with health and safety.

Owning & operating 15 course’s, millions of people every year enjoy the special experiences we offer through racing, music, food and entertainment on raceday’s and beyond.
The Jockey Club Rooms are the private members club of The Jockey Club, set in stunning grounds highlighting wonderful history of British Horse Racing.
The Kitchen Porter will
- Ensure the equipment, kitchen and wash up areas including the corridor, are cleaned to the highest standards and in line with health and safety.
- Complete washing up of all kitchen cooking equipment and function crockery throughout the shift, ensuring that items are fully clean, dried and stored away in the correct place.
- Follow and update the kitchen cleaning schedule on every shift.
- Ensure all waste and recyclable materials are handled and disposed of correctly at the end of every shift and once service is complete.
- Wash all bins as and when required.
- Clean all work areas during and at the end of every shift, including mopping the kitchen area, wash up, corridor and pantry and the staff room once a week.
- Report any maintenance issues and/or potential hazards to the Head Chef.
- Adhere to all health, safety and hygiene regulations including the use of chemicals
- Carry out any reasonable duties as requested by the management team to ensure the effective and successful operation of The Jockey Club Rooms.
- Complete all basic tasks ahead of other team members taking over duties on days off.
About you
- Experience working within the hospitality industry in a hotel and/or club environment.
- Good knowledge and understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards required.
- A positive/can do attitude.
- Able and willing to work evening and weekends.
