We have a fantastic opportunity for a Food and Beverage Supervisor to manage and perform daily food and beverage activities at The Jockey Club Rooms, communicating effectively with colleagues and members to ensure top-quality service and a positive and comfortable environment.

The Jockey Club stages thrilling sporting occasions and live events nationwide including The Grand National, The Cheltenham Festival & The Derby. Owning & operating 15 courses, millions of people every year enjoy the special experiences we offer through racing, music, food and entertainment on racedays and beyond. The Jockey Club Rooms are the private members club of The Jockey Club, set in stunning grounds highlighting wonderful history of British Horse Racing.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor will

  • Ensure the highest standards of service for all members, guests, and visitors.
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the Jockey Club Rooms to ensure their smooth functioning.
  • Greet and communicate with members, their guests, and visitors to the club in a professional manner at all times, creating a home from home environment.
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with the team members and ensure they do the same with others.
  • Inform the kitchen of any allergies, food requirements.
  • Report any issues regarding servicing, maintenance, faulty plant and equipment, decorative repairs, or remedial works.
  • Carry out any reasonable task as requested by the Operations Manager and/or the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of The Jockey Club Rooms.

About you

  • Experience working in food and beverage and within the hospitality industry in a customer facing role in a hotel and/or club environment.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of food hygiene required.
  • Team management experience with the ability to motivate, develop and direct.
  • Service orientated with the ability to be proactive, quick thinking and a problem solver.
  • Able and willing to work evening and weekends.
  • Desirable qualifications; Minimum NVQ 2, Food Handling and Hygiene certificate, Premises License Holder
