We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Director to join our Finance team and manage the group forecasting processes, prepare and appraise capex and strategic investment business cases, and provide analysis and insight for various group functions.

The Group FP&A Directorwill
- Own the Group’s 5-year financial plan, including cash, capital investment and scenario modelling.
- Lead the development of long-term cashflow forecasting and covenant reporting models.
- Provide financial modelling and analysis to support strategic investments and new business opportunities.
- Evaluate and challenge investment cases and capex proposals, partnering with Racecourse CEOs/FDs to inform Executive decision-making.
- Monitor investment performance and ROI, ensuring benefits are realised and lessons learned are captured.
- Support the CFO on M&A activity, strategic projects and high-profile stakeholder presentations.
- Lead the Group’s annual budgeting and forecasting process, driving continuous improvement and best practice.
- Own Group budget consolidation, cashflow forecasting and covenant reporting, delivering clear insight to the Executive and Board.
- Deliver high-quality commercial analysis, identifying key trends, risks and opportunities across the business.
- Prepare business cases and financial evaluations for operational, digital and CRM investments, presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Produce Group management accounts, Board reports and member updates, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Build strong relationships across the Group, influencing decision-making and providing financial leadership to senior stakeholders
About you
- Proven expertise in leading complex budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across a multi-entity organisation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and interpret financial models to support strategic investments and business growth.
- Demonstrated experience consolidating group-level budgets and cashflow forecasts, with the ability to identify key trends and insights.
- Commercially minded, with a track record of preparing robust business cases and conducting scenario analysis for investment decisions.
- Skilled in presenting complex financial data and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively across finance and operational teams to align financial plans with activity and performance drivers.
- Confident in applying benchmarking and KPI monitoring to drive performance improvements and inform strategic planning.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
