Manufacturing and Maintenance Engineer - 1443
Our manufacturing client on the outskirts of Dartford is seeking an experienced Manufacturing and Maintenance Engineer. The role is to assist in day-to-day plant operations, programming machines, validating programs and ensuring production is fully supported. The successful candidate will continually improve manufacturing efficiencies by utilising continuous improvement techniques whilst maintaining a high level of quality.
Job role: Permanent, full time
Salary: Competitive - discussed on first phone call
Location: Near Dartford, Kent
Hours: 8am to 4pm, Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
Key Skills and Qualities
- Understanding of DFM processes
- Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques
- Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP)
- Keep equipment operational - first line maintenance and repairs
- Create programs for automatic programmable equipment
- Diagnose machine faults and production equipment failures, identifying root causes
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Able to communicate, both within the working group and the organisation
- Understanding of project management and able to prioritise multiple projects
- Ideally degree educated - electro mechanical
- Able to write programs for a variety of machines
- Hands-on maintenance and problem-solving experience
- Computer literate
- Experience within manufacturing essential (electronic assembly experience desirable)
