This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Milling CNC Programmer and Setter - that is looking to grow and develop your career.
Dealing in Aviation, Automotive, Marine and high spec engineering quality machining.
We are looking for someone at the top of the industry who wants to show their skills and capabilities
- Immediate start
- Based in Stone, Staffordshire
- 7:30am - 4:00pm, 7:30am - 1:00pm on Friday
- Working in a high end manufacturing and production environment
- Experienced in machining complex components from a variety of metals
Duties of a CNC Programmer / Setter Operator
- Working in the automotive, aviation and marine industry
- Reading and interpreting technical blue prints inputting the design specifications
- Adjusting machine cutting paths and performing quality checks
- Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software
- Set and operate CNC machinery to produce designated components.
- Set part datums using probing cycles and manual methods
- Able to enter and change tool lengths and datum positions as and when needed.
- Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good operating condition
Experience required for a CNC Programmer / Setter Operator
- Milling
- CNC Programming
- Previous work experience on 5 axis, 4 axis or 3 axis CNC Machines
- Set and operate CNC using Fanuc control
- Relevant experience within Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering
- Understanding of Engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of control systems
- Change tools, know speeds and feeds
- Ability to use a variety of in process gauging and inspection equipment
- Machining experience
- Experienced in machining complex components from a variety of metals
- Good communicator, written and verbal
- Working in a manufacturing and production background
