Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and resilient HR professional to provide onsite support during a period of organisational change.
This role will play a key part in supporting employees through a site relocation project, ensuring clear communication, employee engagement, and effective management of employee concerns.
The successful candidate will work closely with management teams to conduct individual consultation meetings, support recruitment activities for new roles, and help maintain positive employee relations throughout the transition.
The role will involve meeting night staff and weekend staff when required - when that does occur flexibilitywill be shown on hours worked.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Advisor
- Conduct one-to-one meetings with employees regarding the site relocation.
- Provide professional HR support and guidance to managers and employees throughout the consultation process.
- Manage sensitive conversations with empathy, professionalism, and confidence.
- Support employees who may be concerned or dissatisfied with the relocation arrangements.
- Ensure employees understand the support packages available, including transport assistance, travel reimbursement, and relocation support.
- Escalate employee concerns where appropriate and work with management to identify solutions.
- Assist with employee relations matters and provide practical HR advice in line with company policies and procedures.
- Seek advise from external HR support providers (Croner) where required.
- Support recruitment activities for multiple permanent vacancies, including candidate management and onboarding support.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings and HR activities.
- Build strong working relationships with managers and employees across both sites.
Skills & Experience for the HR Advisor role
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer, HR Business Partner or similar HR support role.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- Experience managing sensitive and potentially challenging workplace conversations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally charged situations.
- Confident conducting one-to-one meetings and providing HR guidance.
- Full UK driving licence and transport essential.
- Flexible approach to working hours to accommodate meetings with night shift employees.
- Previous experience in Human Resources and Personnel required
- Previous experience supporting organisational change, consultations, TUPE, restructures, relocation's, or employee engagement projects.
- CIPD qualification (not essential but desirable). Relevant practical HR experience is more important.
