We are seeking a Fixture Designer to design hydraulic and manually clamped fixtures for single and twin‑spindle CNC machines, using CAD/CAM software to produce accurate, efficient, and production‑ready solutions.

Choose to work 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30 to 12:30am Friday or 8am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm Friday
Based in Brownhills, Walsall
Key Responsibilities- Fixture Design — Create hydraulic and manual clamping fixtures for CNC machining operations, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and ease of use.
- CAD/CAM Modelling — Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using CAD/CAM software.
- CNC Compatibility — Ensure fixtures are optimised for single and twin‑spindle CNC machines, considering tool access, cycle time, and operator workflow.
- Manufacturing Support — Work closely with machinists, programmers, and production teams to validate fixture performance and resolve design issues.
- Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to improve fixture reliability, reduce setup times, and enhance machining efficiency.
- Documentation — Produce clear technical documentation, BOMs, and revision‑controlled drawings.
- On‑Site Collaboration — Work on site in Brownhills to support hands‑on testing, trials, and problem‑solving.
- CAD/CAM Expertise — Strong 3D modelling and drafting capability; experience designing fixtures or tooling for CNC machining.
- Mechanical Engineering Knowledge — Understanding of forces, clamping mechanics, hydraulic systems, tolerances, and material behaviour.
- CNC Machining Understanding — Familiarity with machining strategies, toolpaths, cutter access, collision avoidance, and cycle‑time optimisation.
