Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 basic + bonus scheme (OTE £40k- £60k)

Location: Birmingham – Jewellery Quarter

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm - Friday 8am to 4pm

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team at The Job People. This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end 360 recruitment role, ideal for someone with industrial recruitment experience who understands the demands of delivering high‑volume, quality recruitment solutions. The primary function of this role is to generate, interview, and the induction of candidates across multiple client sites, including key account responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing full recruitment lifecycle, from placing adverts to onboarding candidates
  • Generating candidates for interview days and client requirements
  • Conducting off‑site interviews and inductions
  • Ensuring 100% compliance with right‑to‑work checks and employment legislation
  • Matching candidates accurately to live vacancies
  • Arranging client interviews and inductions
  • Building strong, long‑term client relationships and supporting account growth
  • Supporting and contributing to The Job People’s growth strategy by active business development activities
  • Maintaining accurate management information (MI)
  • Meeting and exceeding agreed targets and KPIs
  • Delivering a consistently positive experience for both candidates and clients
  • On call mobile phone
  • Be able to drive to multiple locations as and when required

Experience Required

  • Previous recruitment consultancy experience (branch, onsite, or account management)
  • Previous experience of managing high volume industrial accounts
  • Strong client‑focused and people‑management skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships and truly understand client needs
  • Experience managing compliance and employment legislation
  • Full UK driving licence
