We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Insurance Market Business Analyst to support the technology transformation of a prestigious institution in the London insurance market. This is a unique opportunity for a junior to mid-level professional with a solid grounding in broking or underwriting to play a hands-on role in training, support, and project delivery across electronic placement platforms and service transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in support of the business service desk, offering detailed knowledge of London Market processes.
- Assist in the training and guidance of internal teams, drawing on your first-hand experience in broking or underwriting.
- Contribute to the delivery of technology transformation projects, ensuring business requirements are accurately captured and met.
- Support change management processes, helping to embed new systems and tools in day-to-day operations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage expectations, gather feedback, and promote user adoption of new tools and practices.
- Collaborate with IT and project management teams to translate insurance-specific processes into technical specifications where necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc.) in a relevant field.
- 2–3 years of experience in the London Market as either: A broker or underwriter OR A second-line support specialist for electronic placement platforms (e.g., PPL, Whitespace, LIMOSS).
- Strong understanding of insurance placement processes and market operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Desirable:
- LM1 and LM2 qualifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or a recognised international equivalent.
- Project coordination or project management experience.
- Exposure to Agile or other delivery methodologies is a plus.
