My client is hiring for a Lead / Senior London Market Insurance Business Analyst to join a dynamic and high-performing team delivering large-scale transformation across the London insurance market. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering modern solutions across underwriting, broking, and placement operations, working closely with senior stakeholders across business and technology. This role is based in the City and they work on a hybrid basis with 2-3 days in the office per week. Salary ranges between £70K - £90K, depending on experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Act as the primary interface between business users and technology teams, leading the analysis of complex business requirements in the London Market insurance domain.
- Guide a team of Business Analysts and coordinate business analysis activity across projects and workstreams.
- Lead workshops, interviews, and process reviews with underwriters, brokers, and system users.
- Translate regulatory, operational, and customer needs into structured documentation and actionable delivery plans.
- Drive alignment between current state processes and target operating models, particularly for electronic placement, risk submission, etc.
- Support testing, change management, and training activities by ensuring business readiness and user engagement.
- Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development, aligning business analysis efforts with broader transformation goals.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with significant exposure to the London Insurance Market (broking, underwriting, market operations).
- Strong knowledge of electronic placement platforms (e.g., PPL, Whitespace), Lloyd’s market processes, and delegated authority operations.
- Demonstrable experience leading analysis on large-scale transformation or system implementation projects.
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders across business, operations, and technology.
- Strong documentation skills – process mapping, user stories, BRDs, gap analysis, etc.
- Comfortable with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
