Your Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting campus leaders, managing employee relations, and driving HR strategies that foster a high-performing and positive working culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to Principals and senior leadership teams, handling complex employee relations including grievances, disciplinary matters, absence management, and capability cases.
  • Oversee the entire HR lifecycle—recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff exits—ensuring compliance and consistency across your designated sites.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives that align with organisational goals.
  • Provide regular on-site support across campuses, offering tailored advice, delivering training, and supporting local teams with face-to-face consultations.
  • Coach and empower managers to handle both formal and informal staff matters confidently and effectively.
  • Support structural reviews and organisational change programmes to drive workforce efficiency and engagement.
  • Operate with independence while collaborating with wider HR and leadership teams to deliver shared outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking a proactive, knowledgeable, and emotionally intelligent HR professional with a passion for people and process improvement.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong HR generalist experience, including hands-on management of complex casework.
  • Background in regulated or unionised environments.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK employment law, safeguarding practices, GDPR, and HR best practices.
  • CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred).
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar HR business partnering or advisory role.
  • Outstanding communication, integrity, and relationship-building skills.
