In short, generating sales as well as a pleasurable experience. You will often be working alone so must be responsible, utterly trustworthy and a true self-starter – there’s always something to do.
Key responsibilities as a Jewellery Sales Consultant:
- Supplying excellent service to every customer
- Handling high value transactions
- Maintaining the shop's image by way of visual merchandising, housekeeping (there's always jewellery to be polished) and dress code
- Developing a thorough product knowledge
- Following company procedures and security policies
- Inputs and updates to social media & website
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Retail, or other customer service, experience
- Enthusiasm and a passion for jewellery
- Immaculate presentation
- Be bright, polite and helpful with a positive approach
- Have excellent communication skills
- Want to learn
- Ideally have a practical knowledge of social media use in business / online marketing
Previous experience in jewellery sales is not essential as training will be given. The role is part-time, 2-3 days per week but flexibility is essential, especially during the peak season. The shop closes from New Year to the end of March each year. You should also be available to work some weekends and bank holidays as these are our busiest times. Pay, including an excellent incentive element, is competitive. If you believe that you can contribute to our business, please drop in a copy of your CV and a covering letter to us... and perhaps a photo of your favourite earrings with a short note as to why you love them.
