Overview

Ivy House School is expanding with 4 new classes and we are looking for passionate and committed Teachers to join our team from September 2026. The role focuses on delivering pre‑formal, informal, and semi‑formal curricula and creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences for pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Successful candidates will be dedicated to supporting every student to reach their full potential in an inspiring, nurturing, and empowering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess a personalised curriculum for students with PMLD and SLD.
  • Create engaging learning experiences and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Use communication development and sensory‑based approaches to support learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to meet each pupil’s needs.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of teaching practice and the school’s educational provision.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering early‑stage and informal curricula to learners with significant support needs.
  • Strong knowledge of personalised learning, communication development and sensory approaches.
  • Commitment to supporting pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
